The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
