The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
