The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in columns outstretched. 9
