And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" 70 They replied: "We worship idols and are devoted to them." 71 He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate? 72 Do they help or harm you?" 73 They said, 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing.' 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 you, and your elderly fathers? 76 they are all my enemies, not so the Lord of the Universe, 77 Who created me and showed me the way, 78 and is the One who gives me to eat and to drink, 79 and heals me when I am sick. 80 who makes me to die and then revives me, 81 "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 And appoint for me an honourable mention among the posterity 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 “And forgive my father* – he is indeed astray.” (His paternal uncle) 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children 88 But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart." 89 And Paradise shall be brought forward for the godfearing, 90 and Hell advanced for the perverse. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 Together with the hordes of Iblis. 95 And they, while contending therein, shall say: 96 By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Universe. 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 So we have no intercessors, 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 103 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
