The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
