O Ye who believe! devour not usury, multiplied manifold; and fear Allah, haply ye may fare well. 130 Keep away from the Fire prepared for the infidels; 131 And obey Allah and the Noble Messenger, hoping that you gain mercy. (Obeying the Prophet is in fact obeying Allah.) 132 ۞ Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,- 133 Those who expend in weal and woe, and the repressors of rage and the pardoners of men; and Allah loveth the doers of good. 134 And those who, if they commit a shameful act or some wrong against themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins: For who can forgive except God? They should not be perverse about their doings, knowingly. 135 For such the reward is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens beneath which rivers flow – abiding in it forever; what an excellent reward for the performers (of good deeds)! 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 And faint not, nor grieve; ye shall overcome, if ye are believers. 139 If a wound touches you, a similar wound already has touched the nation. Such days We alternate between the people so that Allah knows those who believe, and that He will take witnesses from among you, for Allah does not love the harmdoers, 140 And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Did ye think that ye would enter Heaven without Allah testing those of you who fought hard (In His Cause) and remained steadfast? 142 You were longing for death before you met it; now you have seen it, while you were beholding. 143
