1/2 Hizb 45

۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 As if they were (delicate) eggs closely guarded. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 "Is it (the case) that we shall not die, 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire, 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
