Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
