O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for unbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;- 134 And those, who, when they have done an ill-deed or wronged themselves, remember Allah and ask forgiveness of their sins - and who forgiveth sins save Allah! - and persist not in that which they have done, while they know. 135 Their reward will be forgiveness from their Lord and gardens wherein streams flow and wherein they will live forever. How blessed is the reward of those who labor. 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 This is an exposition for mankind, and a guidance, and an admonition for such as are godfearing. 138 And do not be negligent nor grieve – it is you who will be victorious if you are believers. 139 If you get hurt, certainly others have also experienced injuries. We have made people pass through the different turns of history so that God would know the true believers, have some of you bear witness to the people's deeds, {God does not love the unjust} 140 Allah's object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith. 141 Or, deem ye that ye shall enter the Garden while yet Allah hath not known those of you who have striven hard nor yet known the steadfast! 142 Ye did indeed wish for death before ye met him: Now ye have seen him with your own eyes, (And ye flinch!) 143
