Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
