Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 Believe in that which I have [now] bestowed from on high, confirming the truth already in your possession, and be not foremost among those who deny its truth; and do not barter away My messages for a trifling gain; and of Me, of Me be conscious 41 And confound not the truth with falsehood, nor hide the truth while ye know. 42 And establish prayer, and give the poor-rate, and bow down with those who bow down. 43 ۞ Would you order righteousness on others and forget it yourselves? Yet you recite the Book, have you no sense? 44 Seek help with the Salat and fortitude: no doubt, Salat is a hard task but not for those obedient servants, 45 Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 46
