And (as to) those who reject Our communications, We draw them near (to destruction) by degrees from whence they know not. 182 And I grant them respite; surely My scheme is effective. 183 Then do they not give thought? There is in their companion [Muhammad] no madness. He is not but a clear warner. 184 Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created, and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message after this will they then believe? 185 None can guide those whom Allah leaves in error. He leaves them in their insolence, wandering blindly. 186 They ask thee of the (destined) Hour, when will it come to port. Say: Knowledge thereof is with my Lord only. He alone will manifest it at its proper time. It is heavy in the heavens and the earth. It cometh not to you save unawares. They question thee as if thou couldst be well informed thereof. Say: Knowledge thereof is with Allah only, but most of mankind know not. 187 Say, "I myself have no power to benefit or do harm, save as God pleases. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I would have availed myself of an abundance of good, and no harm would have touched me. I am but a warner and a bearer of good tidings for those who will believe." 188
