And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Iblis did not; he refused to be with the prostrates. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 for an appointed time." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 Said He, 'This is for Me a straight path: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. 43 it has seven gates: and each gate has a portion of them allotted to it. 44
