Tell them: "O my creatures who have come to belief, have fear of displeasing your Lord. There is good for those who do good in this world, and productive is God's earth. Only those who persevere will get their reward measureless." 10 Say (O Muhammad): Lo! I am commanded to worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only). 11 and I am bidden to be foremost among those who surrender themselves unto God." 12 Say, “Were I to disobey my Lord, I too would fear the punishment of the great Day (of Resurrection).” 13 Say: “Allah alone shall I serve, consecrating my devotion to Him. 14 Worship besides Him whatever you want. The greatest losers are those whose souls and family members will be lost on the Day of Judgment for this is certainly a great loss". 15 They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me. 16 There are happy tidings for those who keep away from the worship of false gods and turn to God in repentance. Give glad tidings to My creatures. 17 Those who listen to the Word [good advice La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) and Islamic Monotheism, etc.] and follow the best thereof (i.e. worship Allah Alone, repent to Him and avoid Taghut, etc.) those are (the ones) whom Allah has guided and those are men of understanding (like Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail, Salman Al-Farisi and Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari). [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, P. 244] 18 How can you rescue the one who is destined to suffer the torment? 19 But those who keep their duty to their Lord, for them are lofty halls with lofty halls above them, built (for them), beneath which rivers flow. (It is) a promise of Allah. Allah faileth not His promise. 20 Do you not see that Allah sent down water from the sky, then made it flow on earth as springs and streams and rivers and then with it He brings forth vegetation of various hues; then this vegetation ripens and dries up, turning yellow, whereafter He reduces it to broken straw? Surely there is a lesson in this for those endowed with understanding. 21
