Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Did you see him who gives the lie to the Reward and Punishment of the Hereafter? 1 That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, 2 and who does not urge the feeding of the poor? 3 Woe to the worshippers 4 Who are neglectful of their prayers, 5 They who would be seen, 6 And withhold things of common use (from others). 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
