So, when the envoys came to the folk of Lot, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question, 63 And we have brought unto thee the truth, and verily we say sooth. 64 So set out with your family in a watch of the night, and keep yourself behind them, and no one of you may turn around, and keep going ahead as you have been commanded." 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 There are certainly signs in that for those who can learn a lesson -- 75 And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
