Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
