And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
