The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death). 99
