And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Now by thy Lord, We shall surely question them all together 92 As to what they did. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
