The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He has created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all they associate as partners with Him. 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle -- He created them for you; in them is warmth, and uses various, and of them you eat, 5 How beautiful you find them when you bring them home and when you drive them out to graze. 6 They carry your loads to places which you could otherwise not reach without great hardship, surely, your Lord is compassionate and merciful, 7 And [He created] the horses, mules and donkeys for you to ride and [as] adornment. And He creates that which you do not know. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
