Surely, Abraham was a nation obedient unto God, a man of pure faith and no idolater, 120 Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path. 121 And gave him what is good in the world, and in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous and the good. 122 So We commanded you to follow the way of Abraham the upright who was not of idolaters. 123 The Sabbath was only enjoined on those who differed about it. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding the things about which they differed. 124 Call to the Path of your Lord with wisdom and fine admonition. Dispute with them in the best manner. Your Lord is well aware of those who have gone astray from His Path and He is well aware of those who are guided. 125 And if you chastise, chastise even as you have been chastised; and yet assuredly if you are patient, better it is for those patient. 126 Exercise patience and let it be only for the cause of God. Do not be grieved about them nor disappointed at their evil plans. 127 Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun (good-doers, - see the footnote of V. 9:120). 128
