WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. 68 Then We will most certainly draw forth from every sect of them him who is most exorbitantly rebellious against the Beneficent Allah. 69 Then surely it is We who are the Best Knower of these worthiest of being therein roasted. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 Then We shall save those who use to fear Allah and were dutiful to Him. And We shall leave the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) therein (humbled) to their knees (in Hell). 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the All-merciful prolong his term for him! Till, when they see that they were threatened, whether the chastisement, or the Hour, then they shall surely know who is worse in place, and who is weaker in hosts.' 75 And Allah increases in guidance those who go aright; and ever-abiding good works are with your Lord best in recompense and best in yielding fruit. 76 Have you seen him who denies Our revelations, and says: "I will certainly be given wealth and children." 77 Has he seen the Hidden, or has he made a pact with the Most Gracious? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 and We shall inherit from him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other gods instead of Allah that they may be a source of strength for them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
