T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
