And recall what time We settled Ibrahim in the place of the House, Saying: associate not thou with Me aught, and purify My House for these who circumambulate and those who stand up and those who bow and make prostration. 26 and publicly proclaim Pilgrimage for all mankind so that they come to you on foot and mounted on lean camels from every distant point 27 That they may witness the benefits to them and may mention the name of Allah on the days known over the beast cattle wherewith He hath provided them. So eat thereof, and feed the hungry poor. 28 Thereafter let them end their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House. 29 All that; and whosoever venerates the sacred rites of Allah it shall be better for him with his Lord. The flocks are lawful to you, except that which is recited to you. Therefore, avoid the filth of idols and avoid speaking falsely, 30 being men pure of faith unto God, not associating with Him anything; for whosoever associates with God anything, it is as though he has fallen from heaven and the birds snatch him away, or the wind sweeps him headlong into a place far away. 31 Thus it is. And whosoever respecteth the rites of Allah, then verily it is from piety of the hearts. 32 In them, you have benefits until an appointed time. After, their place of sacrifice is at the Ancient House. 33
