The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
