Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
