The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
