The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 Those are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
