O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their confusion for a time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are heedless of this. Moreover, there are other deeds besides this which they do. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My signs were recited to you, but upon your heels you withdrew, 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say, 'He is bedevilled'? Nay, he has brought them the truth, but most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ And if We have mercy upon them and remove the calamity which has befallen them, they would still stubbornly persist, wandering in their rebellion. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
