O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Surely those who stand in awe for fear of their Lord, 57 And they who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who give what they give and their hearts fear for they have to return to their Lord. 60 It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 until - after We shall have taken to task, through suffering, those from among them who [now] are lost in the pursuit of pleasures - they cry out in [belated] supplication. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 and arrogantly mocked and reviled them. 67 Should they not think upon the saying? Or, did anything come upon them that had not come upon their ancient forefathers? 68 Or is it that they did not recognize their Messenger (Muhammad SAW) so they deny him? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
