Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 (O Muhammad)! Repel evil in the best manner. We are well aware of all that they say about you. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My servants, there were those who said, "Lord, We believe, so forgive us and have mercy on us. You are the best one to show mercy." 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
