Highly blessed is He, Who has made fortified spheres in the heavens and has set in it a "lamp" and a shining moon. 61 And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62 And the bondmen of the Compassionate are those who walk upon the earth meekly and when the ignorants address them, they say peace 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 who say, 'Our Lord, turn Thou from us the chastisement of Gehenna; surely its chastisement is torment most terrible; 65 Indeed, it is an evil abode and evil dwelling-place." 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 and who never invoke any [imaginary] deity side by side with God, and do not take any human beings life - [the life] which God has willed to be sacred - otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice, and do not commit adultery. And [know that] he who commits aught thereof shall [not only] meet with a full requital 68 and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy, 69 except the one who may have repented (after those sins) and have believed and done righteous works, for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds, and He is very Forgiving and Merciful. 70 Whosoever repents and does the right, will have turned back to God by way of repentance; 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 who, when reminded of the revelations of their Lord, do not try to ignore them as though deaf and blind. Rather, they try to understand and think about them. 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
