And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
