(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger See verse 28:15) 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
