۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
