The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
