Alshu'araa' 6 of 11
The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Should we place our trust in you when only the condemned follow you?" 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: if thou desistest not, thou shalt surely be of those stoned. 116 He said: "My Lord! My people have branded me a liar. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
