The 'Ad (people) rejected the messengers. 123 Behold, their brother Hud said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 125 Fear Allah and obey me. 126 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 127 Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? 128 And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally? 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants! 130 So fear you God, and obey you me; 131 Have fear of the One who has bestowed upon you all that you know. 132 He has bestowed on you cattle, and sons, 133 and gardens, and springs -- 134 “Indeed I fear upon you the punishment of a Great Day.” 135 They replied, "It makes no difference to us whether you preach or do not preach, 136 This [religion of ours] is none other than that to which our forebears clung, 137 "And we are not going to be punished." 138 In response they denied him We therefore destroyed them; indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 139 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 140

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
