My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 145 Will you be left secure in this, 146 "In gardens and springs. 147 and fields, and [these] palm-trees with slender spathes? 148 And you hew houses out of the mountains exultingly; 149 Fear Allah and obey me 150 Do not obey the order of the wasteful, 151 and spread mischief in the land rather than set things right." 152 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 153 Thou art but a mortal like us. She shall have her turn of drinking, as you have yours, each on an appointed day, 155 And do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you. 156 But they hamstrung her and then regretted it. 157 So the torment took hold of them: verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. 158 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 159
