Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
