Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hast thou observed him who belieth religion? 1 It is he who turns down the orphans 2 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent. 3 Woe, then, unto those praying ones 4 who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times), 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 and deny people the articles of common necessity. 7
