Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
