Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
