The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: I am in truth of those who hate your conduct. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
