In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 I call to witness the Qur'an, custodian of all laws, -- 2 Most surely you are one of the apostles 3 and that you follow the right path. 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 Surely We have placed chains on their necks, and these reach up to their chins, so they have their heads raised aloft. 8 And We have set a wall before them and a wall behind them, and covered the top – so they are unable to see anything. 9 Whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 10 Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous. 11 Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register. 12
