Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom, 2 you (Prophet Muhammad) are truly among the Messengers sent 3 upon the straight path. 4 It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe. 10 You can only warn him who follows the reminder and fears the Beneficent Allah in secret; so announce to him forgiveness and an honorable reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
