The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
