The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
