۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 that is how We deal with evil-doers. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A bowl shall be made to go round them from water running out of springs, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 There shall be no trouble in it, nor shall they be exhausted therewith. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will turn to one another with questions: 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who was wont to ask [me,] 'Why - art thou really one of those who believe it to be true 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Except our previous death? And we shall not be chastised? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have indeed made that a punishment for the unjust. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 Truly they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
